[WHAT NEXT] Choose from our various Sessions, this is the first step when calling. The Session various on hours ranging from 1/2 to 4 hours. We prefer to do on-location sessions with the option of adding a studio session. Rarely do we do Studio sessions only. We prefer to take advantage of what the world has to offer and be able to give you a much much broader and larger choice of locations and selections. The session you choose can also determine outfits, we can do from one out fit all the way up to 'how many can you carry.' We would like you to bring as much personal identifiers as you can, meaning the things that make you unique and special. Lettermans Jacket, hats, outfits, sports gear, guitars, etc...

When you decide to have your portraits done at Bassett Photography. Get a credit card ready, we reserve your date on our schedule. Hurry as appointments are limited and sell out very quickly during the summer. Don't worry about the packages, you can choose your package after you see your images.

[PREPARE]
Get as much done as you can the day before your appointment, it will be less stressful if everything is ironed, hung, and packed the day before. Get CD's ready if you want us to play them for you, or pack your I-Pod, we can play it through our system when you arrive.

[ARRIVE]
Then relax and have a great time! This is important! If you just relax and have fun, your portraits will be awesome! It's true, we promise.

[AFTER]
After your session, we will set up an appointment for you to view your images and place your order. Your order appointment will be about two weeks after your photo session. We will prep your images, do preliminary retouch, and partial finishing, so that you will be able to see the images as close to the finished version as possible. Multiple images can be viewed side by side for comparison. They can also be viewed at full size which helps you select the sizes that work best for you and your home. You will be placing your order at this time so please bring everyone that will have a say in what is ordered to this appointment. One half of the order total will be due at this time. The balance will be due in about four weeks when your order is ready to pick up.

be classy..
when you look at your portraits 20 years from now. Also great for college applications and making mom happy. The rest can be whatever you want fun, casual, country, trendy, wild, or mild. Whatever is you.

be casual..
what you like to wear everyday, your own unique style.Bring a variety of clothing for all seasons, we will help you choose what looks best for you. Feel free to add sweaters or jackets, they will add variety to your portraits. Bring several long sleeve tops as well, for certain poses, bare shoulders make you look heavier.

be uniquely you...
hats, scarves, books, sports stuff, stuffed animals, musical instruments, jewlery, whatever shows your personality. Everyone wants something a little different from their friends, bring something we can work with to give you truly unique senior portraits.

if you like to make a statement, tell a story, or something that makes you totally unique.

Bring lots of outfits, your stuff, pets, friends, or family to your session. We will help you choose the looks that work the best for you. Relax, don't be nervous. We tell everyone that if you just have fun and be yourself, your pictures will be awesome, we promise.

Dont' sweat it, they are outta here.

Make-Up
We HIGHLY recommend that you have your make-up professionally done, even if you never wear make-up. Even if you don't normally wear make-up, she can make you look "naturally" beautiful. Make-up is EXTREMELY important to the way your finished portraits will look. If you choose to do your own make-up please follow the tips below.

Lips..
Glossy, Shiny, Color! Lips are best in reds, berries, and browns. Careful to maintain contrast. Dark haired girls, darker colors, blondes, lighter colors. Even if you never wear lipstick, a little color goes a long way. Bare minimum, bring lip gloss to put a little shine on your lips.

Face..
The color of your face should match the neck and shoulders. MAXIMUM of one shade darker. Use a SPF-free moisturizer and foundation to prevent glare and reflections. Use a translucent powder to set. Bring extra powder for touch-ups at the studio. Don't over-do to cover pimples or blemishes. We can easily take care of any facial blemishes with retouch.

Cheeks..
Don't be afraid to have a little color on the apples of the cheekbones (petal pink). It brightens up the appearance of the face and gives a healthy glow.

Eyes..
Well groomed eyebrows are a must. Enhance eyelashes with a black waterproof mascara. Dark brown eyeliner is a natural alternative to black and compliments all light shimmery eye shadows. We don't recommend liquid eyeliners of any sort. Bottom liner should not extend to the inside corner of the eye. It closes the eye down making it look smaller than it really is. Stop just past the iris of the eye when looking stratight forward.

Nails...
Paint a clear, neutral, or french tip. If you are going to show your feet (most girls do) then do your toenails too. Please.. no bright colors, it will take away the emphasis on your face.

Hair...
We suggest you don't try anything new just before your session. Go with the style and color you are comfortable with. Curly or straight is up to you, and with some of our sessions, you will have time to change in the middle.

Tanning...
A tan looks great, but too dark isn't good. Don't tan a couple of days before your session to make sure you aren't red or burned. Tan lines show, so try to minimize them as much as possible.
